Today I clocked the vintage streetcar at 9 MPH.

At 38,000 pounds, I wonder why people idle on the tracks.

Extensive renovations have been made to upgrade the existing trail system of the highline park.

The old trail was disposed of leaving a blank space.

Aftwards, the final sod and path is laid.  This grass and dirt has special properties allowing for a seamless magic season change.

A special exhibition dedicated to trees!  But please, stand behind the ropes.

A new view….

In Lapara on January 2, 2019 at 7:00 am

We used to have two archway monuments, one on each end of the original Lapara Towne. The current archway was rezzed on May 15, 2011, and has been in town ever since. We moved it to the other side by the depot. There used to be an arch on the other side of this depot, prior to the rowhouses being built.

This gives us a refreshing new view if you are coming from the SLRR mainline.

Emergency Maintenance in Astarte

In Lapara on January 1, 2019 at 5:41 pm

The lag at Foxglove Parkway and Sagittata Street seems to have gotten worse over the past year.  The trains take longer to traverse the region than they should.  The system is being shut down one by one until the root cause can finally be located.  The Power Plant is on emergency generators, and one train is out of service.  The traffic signals will cease functioning and the area of town will go dark slowly until some type of cause is finally found, or until the region operates as normal.

This is the new portion of town, which proves, they just don’t make them like they used to.

Public Works make tunnel modification

In Lapara on January 1, 2019 at 8:00 am

The roads department has made a slight change in the tunnel. Instead of two walled carriageways intersecting, we now have a lower shoulder and pillars. Pick your “favorite” city, and you may have seen something similar. This major change only added a cost of ONE additional prim.

This prototype shall be in service until we figure out how to reverse the Astarte Expressways alignment. It appears that the merge is somewhat awkward and it would be a much better layout if the merge faced West instead of East. We have a large space that makes wide turns easier, but it is still not the best alignment.
We’re working on a map to force everyone traveling to Route 1 and Route 11 to take one specific road instead of giving multiple options to tourists. Of course, the locals will know the best ways around.
Map will come soon.
