Art Installation – Sacrifice (2019)

In Art, Beauty, Lapara on September 8, 2019 at 6:00 am

Hidden in the Department of Transportation building for several months is a little installation called Sacrifice.

It’s one of the hidden surprises (or easter eggs in computer terms) that is all around town for those who like to explore things deeply.  Now that it’s been out for a season, we can post the link.

Clownski’s unveils new window display!

In Art, clownskis, Lapara on November 28, 2017 at 4:20 pm

Olde Astarte – Today Clownski’s Department Store has unveiled its newest window display, just in time for Christmas.    Mayor Clownski gave a long and impassioned speech prior to the curtain coming down.

After discussing the vision of the city, the curtain dropped, revealing a beautiful window display.  The story of the window is scrolling on the digital readout mounted to the ceiling.

The Art Truck is being put away…

The Market and Deli with it’s art exhibit has closed

And a remaining Halloween storyline has been discovered in the woods way too late! We’ll have to truck it into storage for next year.

And now it’s time for the Harvest season instead

Halloween peaks in Olde Lapara Towne

In Art, Lapara on October 24, 2017 at 11:20 am

It must be that time of year.  A call came in to dispatch regarding a giant spider attacking cars on Viaduct avenue.  It’s Halloween!

The hotel lobby is frightening!  The Ballroom is Enchanting.  And dare one enter room 401?  Up the elevator banks.

Then there’s Clownski’s.  The window has a halloween theme.  The third floor Skyroom has the holiday menu laid out too!

Further down the street, past the police barricade, the spirits and frights have taken over!

*note there are other things in town too, mysterous graveyards, spiders, and haunts.

As far as Art goes, It’s the last week!

The Wanderlust Art Truck will be driving off into that SL Daycycle sunset soon!  Come see the lobby and the park full of art.  Join the other billions who have!

The Bodega Deli & Grocery art exhibition is still here for a few days as well.  Come visit before it’s gone!!!!

A visiting truck art show has taken over Lapara’s Central Park.  People have been arriving by the busload, trainload, and cabload.  Starting from the landing point, to the truck itself, 27 separate works can be viewed of varying style and mediums.  From paintings to sculptures.

This is Levi Clownski, on 10 news at 10 on 10.

Today I swim around the most amazing art installation, a sim sculpture gallery.

Some big, some small,

some colorful, some stone

they all give quiet contemplation

while alone.

There are so many scenes here, it would be rather difficult to give a range or list, but this is one of those places in SL that is fun and engaging and brings out our curiosity.  It appears that the owner will do custom work as well.
